In magazines, and in general media, men are portrayed to have a 5 o’clock shadow with piercing light eyes and untamed eyebrows. That standard is not correct at all, men vary in their looks. With the rise of inclusivity, LGBT+ men have started to be seen in magazines more, for example, the images above are all cut-outs of several magazines. The LGBT+ men are all depicted to be more feminine, from their stance, clothing, and what they represent. In the Queer as Folk front page feature, the gay man is in a more planned pose while the straight man is in a formal stance. These small ticks are important to note in stopping the perpetuation of stereotypes for LGBT+ males.
